We here on the Student scholarship committee are so excited to welcome 9 students this year thanks to *your* donations!
Over the next few weeks we would like to introduce you to some of the students.

Our first student is squiddy – she can be found on Twitter [@VM_DEUS] and you can [visit her site] where you will find OSINT tutorials, and her Youtube channel.

Q: Is this your first time going to a hacking or Information Security event?
No. I attended DEF CON 26 and BSides Las Vegas last year. I also attended Circle City Con, and presented research at SummerCon this year.

Q: What are you most looking forward to at Diana Initiative? What about in Las Vegas?
I am most looking forward to networking with other women in InfoSec and building a supportive community of my own, conducive to learning. I wish to improve my OSINT and lockpicking skills and expand my horizons by learning every new thing that I can.

Q: What is the thing you are most hoping to go home with, a memory, an experience, a new skill, knowledge around a specific topic?
I hope to go home with all the above. A memory of time spent among my community, the experience of learning a new skill and/or expanding on my current skill set, and some new knowledge of BioHacking and amateur radio.

Q: What are you studying in school? How do you like it?
I am studying Health Science at IUPUI, I have also completed a certificate in medical coding, Biology, and 1 year of Japanese (Intermediate low). I’m about to enter a Medical Laboratory Science program at IUSB. I love what I’m studying! I hope to focus on Laboratory Informatics in the future, and work towards HCISPP.

We are very hopeful she will be able to get all of that and more by attending the Diana Initiative this year. If you think you can help, why not reach out?
