We will have challenge authors available in the CTF Session to answer questions throughout the event and will start with a CTF4Noobz workshop for those who are new to cyber competitions. No experience necessary, just come with your enthusiasm! Stay tuned to the CTF Session for awesome beats from our emcee and hear from our guest speakers!
**NOTE REGARDING WORKSHOP:
The workshop is separate from the rest of the CTF event. Workshop: 9-11am Pacific (UTC-7) on 21 August.
Workshop attendance is not required in order to compete in the CTF.
There is no sign-up for the workshop.
**NOTE Regarding the Competition:
In order to compete you will need to create an account on the TryHackMe platform and then join the “Diana Initiative CTF” room. There is no option for team play, but you are welcome to create informal teams amongst yourself and use a shared login.
Please note that the number of prizes will be limited.
You do not need to sign up in advance, and can join the competition at any time.
We will be running the competition throughout the course of TDI, with live support available during the main conference hours (9a-4p Pacific, UTC-7). Winners and prizes will be announced at the close of Day Two.
Why compete? Well, first of all, it is fun! It is also a great way to network with others and learn new skills. Competing can even be a good resume and interview enhancer as it shows that you go the extra mile to build your cybersecurity knowledge and abilities. What are you waiting for, let’s do this!
